Demonstration…is your message decisive?

Philippians 1:27 says” Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel

What has happen to the zeal you once had? Is your zeal running low? According to this verse the same zeal we had when we received Jesus we are to still have that same zeal running with reverence. Remember when you were in school and they had Show and Tell? You would be so excited about that day because you got the chance to stand up in front of your entire class room and demonstrated your favorite toy, story, adventure place anything that you loved you had the chance to tell others about it.

Never in our wildest of dreams did we ever really get a true understanding of why we were made to do it. We just knew that if the teacher said do it then we did it so we can get a good grade for participation. And who wouldn’t want to talk about themselves. We love sharing our ideas and thoughts and beliefs with people, we take such pride and those things that matter to us.

Today I ask you what are you demonstrating now? Is your message decisive? Or are we sending mixed messages? What is the one thing we keep telling our friends, family members and associates?

Back then it was much easier to stand in front of your peers and share with them your story because we didn’t have doubt, we were passionate about what we talked about. Are you standing up demonstrating Christ in your life? Is your life a decisive message or could you be sending mix messages? Many people will never touch a bible nor go to church but they will see you and I.  We are to be demonstrating Christ in our lives daily, so others will see Christ and come to salvation.

That same zeal and enthusiasm you had when you stood in front of your class is the same enthusiasm we are to have today.

  1. Awesome reminder Desiray. Do others see God and Christ in us? May we let His light, His hope and His love flow through us. Show and tell life changing and life fulfilling abundance of God. Blessings my sister with thanksgiving!

  2. Great word for us today, Desiray. I have to tell you that I hated Show and Tell day at school–I was so shy and terrified!! But now, as you may have deduced, it’s hard to get me to quit talking long enough to breathe!! God bless you, dear heart–love, sis Caddo

    1. I can understand that I was nervous when I had to stand in front of my class but I did enjoy it. Now you can talk and you don’t hate it now sis…See how the Lord used what you did not like and turned it into something you are doing more of?

  3. Thanks so much for always stirring us up, Dear Desiray! You help keep that fire lit in us, to stay passionate. Another blogger is doing some posts from a book he’s reading, called “Craveable”. This reminds me of the premise for that book. We want others to crave Jesus . .we want to live lives that show a craveable Jesus. God bless you!
