How R U Aging?

Titus 2:3 says, Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves too much wine. They are to teach what is good.

Okay ladies it’s time to talk about this five letter word which makes most of us cringe, It’s called aging. Now fellows don’t think I left you out of the equation because I didn’t. Do you remember the first sign or age you was when you started to see grey hair? Oh my the grey hair syndrome, when it happen to me I was 16 years old back then having a long piece of grey hair wasn’t as bad as I made it to be.

But did you notice here in the verse that Titus never talked about the outside  change we go through. He is telling us that we who are older are to bring along side of us the young women and teach them the wisdom that was past down to them. But in these days we don’t do much of that do we? We all can probably look within our own churches and see if this is really being taught and if the young are along side the older people.

These days most young people think that an older or elderly person is just being nosy and they don’t think they can learn anything from them. But you know I love being around older people not that I would talk but I would listen to what they had to say. And I learned so much from them.

So maybe we should not give so much of our energy to our appearance and what transformation we are going through but reach out to our young ladies and young men and let them learn from us.

But aging is not to bad as we think for the best is  yet to come. Just last year I started getting pimples don’t know why I never got those thing even when I was a teenager. And though I am in pre-menopause I know eventually this will pass and my family especially my hubby will be so glad, he’s been a trooper trying to understand all this. I tell him wait till yo go through your mid-life crises. I think he’s already in it but he won’t confirm it.

We all know what Titus is  saying and we all have a part to play. These young women and men need our help. AMEN

  1. This is so Awesome and Amazing how our outer body experiences plays a great part of our lives. As humans we all go through charge in different ways, but learning to accept the change is most important part of it all. Some people refuse to accept the changes of growth which leave them stuck in the past without growth to move to the next faze in life. I agree with you growth is a wonderful experience and we should teach our youths about growth. Beautiful and Bless You.

    1. Thank you Veronica for commenting, growth is more than we realize it at times, so often we look at the negative and we miss some important lessons along the way.

  2. What a wonderful post, Desiray! The outside stuff is confusing and frustrating–but if we can focus on the inside aging, we may be encouraged! God and I have agreed to ignore the outside, and continue building His monument in my heart. God bless you–love, sis Caddo

  3. Thank you so much, for bringing us back to God and His word about what us aging ones can do! I love the younger ones .. their liveliness and energy! Maybe the more we want to be around them, the more they will want to be around us too! I can’t help but want to build them up and encourage them, every chance I get. Life can be so hard and full of negatives . .want to make sure they get to hear something good. 🙂 God bless you at every stage of life!
