Childlike Faith

Matthew 19:14 says” Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Jesus told the disciples forbid not the children to come unto me. What was Jesus really saying about the children? Because later on in that verse He shares about their faith. Jesus called it childlike faith” and what is child like faith? Jesus was explaining to the disciples and the rest of the followers that children are innocent and they believe without doubt.

Today I challenge you to ask yourself  “what happen to your childlike faith?  As we have gotten older things like pass hurts and disappointments have destroyed our child like faith.

Today you and I can get back to our childlike faith, by focusing on Jesus and His word. For we really don’t need nothing else but His word. Circumstances and decisions are apart of life but we can’t let them destroy our faith in God. God is bigger then your circumstances. Don’t let go of  your faith in Jesus Christ. And when you feel the pressure coming on remember the story of how Jesus talked about the children and their child like faith.

  1. In Mt. 18:3-4 Jesus describes what he means by becoming like a child. Since his disciples have been focusing on “who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” Jesus tells them they need to turn (away from such selfish ambition) and become like children, humbling themselves. In Mt. 20:26 Jesus adds that the one who wants to be great must be your servant.
