Romans 15: 4 says” For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

We all in some way are constantly learning about history, when I was a junior high I did not like history so much. Don’t get me wrong I pass but I found it kind of boring, maybe because I just wasn’t as interested in what they where teaching. After I grew up and started to know about Jesus, I had a whole lot of whats, where, how, when and whys? Now history was becoming very important to me. I remember my mom saying to me she said” Desi you didn’t care much for history in school and I told you that it’s important, and look at you now your digging into the bible finding all you can”

Every time we read the bible there are references that points us back to what we read, some people will tell you in life that we don’t have to know where you come from as long as you know where you are going. For me to know more about God and His Son and the Holy Spirit I have to read the history of the beginning in order for me to understand my heritage…

For example, if you never read the Old Testament how would you understand that Jesus came down from the lineage of David? You wouldn’t because in order to know this you have to know where it started..

We need the bible we can’t afford not to read it, it’s Our Way of Life” AMEN
