Is there a right way to PRAY?

Seems like everybody thinks they know the correct way to pray, everyone has their own way of praying. But the question is this, is the way we are praying really the way Jesus said we ought to pray? Think about it! The disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, which leds me to believe that they do not know how to pray. Now if they had to ask Jesus to teach them, don’t you think you and I need to ask as well?

Jesus said this is the correct way of praying. When we pray this way you and I are praying in His Will.

Our Father which is in heaven………………………………………..this is Praise and Worship
Thy kingdom come……………………………….…you are asking God to take charge of your life on earth.
Thy will be done………………………………..………in what He sees fit for my life at the present and future
Give us our daily bread……………………..…..  strength you need this day to carry on reading of His word.
Forgive me my sins…………………………………………consequences of my sins and actions
Lead me not into temptation…………………..….don’t let sin overwhelm me, give me strength to walk thru it, for the victory is mine
Deliver me from the evil………………….surround me with your hedge of protection from physical or spiritual harm
For thine is the Kingdom……………………………………..…God has all power in His hand
For thine is the glory……………………………………I give You all praise of who You are.. AMEN

Can’t you see why Jesus taught His disciples to pray this prayer when you pray? This prayer covers everything you and I need for it speaks to every thing that comes our way daily. God bless you

  1. I love the way you broke this down into language we can conceive. I mean, I remember this prayer from as far back as I can remember, BUT most of us ( I would bet) have committed to memory ( but don’t even really pay attention to its meaning. Thank you for this! 🙂 God Bless

    1. thank you my friend. I believe allot of people have this verse memorized, I know I do. and like you said I would say this verse allot and never really understood what it meant. Now that I see what Jesus was saying in this prayer now I see why He teaches us to pray this way. It leaves no room for self to ask amiss when we pray, and it keeps us out of having wrong motives. And of above all it covers everything that person will face today, tomorrow and future..
