Condemning and Conviction

Luke 16:13 says” No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”

Romans 8:1 says” There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Instead of me going through a whole story I am going to just go right to it. Somewhere down the line some Christians believe that the Lord condemns them. I don’t know if it comes from bad teaching or maybe some of us just aren’t reading the word of God.

As you see in Romans 8:1 Jesus does not condemn those who are in Christ Jesus. Also in John 3:17 it says  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

So why would a person believe or think that the Lord Jesus would ever condemn them? Now I also have the word conviction in our discussion for today’s devotion. Anytime we do anything that is in error the Holy Spirit will convict us to let us know that what we are doing is wrong, the reason the Holy Spirit does this is to teach us the right way of God’s Will for our lives.

How many times and probably today you done or said something in error in other words you sinned, and you find yourself still thinking about what you did, your stomach is in knots for it and you know in your heart you should not of said or done it? We all have felt this way right? What you are feeling or sensing is the Holy Spirit convicting you of your sin.

At that moment we are to immediately repent so that we can be forgiven. Sometimes we as humans don’t always repent immediately we stew on it for a while which is totally opposite of what the Lord tells us to do.

Conviction is a beautiful thing we better thank God for the Holy Spirit convicting us of our sins. Man will condemn you and make you feel like your worth nothing. I know we beat up on ourselves when we do something and we don’t always forgive ourselves, but today please I beg you stop condemning yourself Jesus loves you so very much. He who is powerful and all-knowing does not condemn you why are you condemning yourself? Think about it?

Remember condemning comes from the enemy he is the one who lies to us don’t fall for that trick of his no more, be free.

Even this world which we know is so full of evil and man has denied God. And though the world has done everything to keep God out of it the bible says  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (now does that sound like a God who want to hurt no it a God who LOVES).
