The word Apathy, the Dictionary says “lack of interest or concern.
The Lord say’s “Apathy” So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. (Revelation 3:16)
John 5:39-40 says” You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life.
- And so I began to wonder this morning, do we as saints become apathy in our walk with the Lord?
- Do we show a lack of interest in praying, reading the word, fellowship with other believers, and communion with Jesus?
In all honesty if we would be so honest I have to say I believe that in some areas of our Christian walk we do show lack of concern when it comes to the Kingdom of GOD. ( None of us are perfect but just because we are not perfect we are to strive to be like Jesus in every way.
Many of us had such zeal than out of no where we lacked in reading the word we lacked talking to God, we don’t fellowship like we use to all because of “Apathy” you might blame it on other things make excuses for it but Jesus doesn’t want to hear our excuses, for that is just what they are excuses.
As I sit here posting this another verse just came to me Galatians 5:7 says” ” You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth? WOW! maybe this post does not speak to you but I tell you one thing it speaks volumes to me, and I thank the Holy Spirit for His truth.
We can’t let apathy be apart of our Christian Walk folks. Have a blessed Friday…
