Good morning I hope you are having a great day so far. There is a song that we says “Open thee eyes of my heart Lord, open thee eyes of my heart, I want to see you, I want to see, see you high and lifted up, shinning in the light of your glory, pour out your power in love as we sing holy, holy, holy.
What a beautiful song and as I was thinking about this song and it’s meaning I asked myself this question are we really meaning the words of the song in our hearts? We say we want God to open thee eyes of our heart so that we can see God, but the minute God does we ignore what He shows us. There will be many people in the world that will never ever pick up the bible to read it, that’s a fact, the only way that they are going to see God is through us.
Jesus tells a story of the sheep and goats in Matthew 25:31-46 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
Family we are an extension of God’s hand to others and because of how some people aren’t as truthful and with all the scams going on in the world, many of us don’t want to give when someone on the streets beg for money, but it’s not our job to question what they will do with the money. Let God deal with hearts, ask yourself this question what would Jesus do? If you aren’t sure what Jesus would do then go back and read the four gospels because they tell us exactly what Jesus did.
