From the Director’s Chair

Good morning and happy Tuesday to you. Let me ask you a question “do you enjoy a good movie?  There are some movies that we enjoy so much that we will watch them every time it comes on television or we will even rent the movie.

directorAs you are sitting there watching the movie don’t you find yourself saying “if that was you, you would do it different?” we find ourselves talking to the screen as if we are now the characters in the movie. Could if be that we don’t agree with what the director has done and so we want to change things around?

Did you know that your life is like a movie? Jesus is our director telling us what to do and what not to do and we treat our lives just like we do the movies we are watching. We give no credit to the creator for His plans all because we don’t like what we are told. So we want to give our input on how we should live our lives. God has directed your life before you and I was ever born. When we disobey God we are literally telling Him that we refuse to listen to Him at this moment for we are going to try to make things happen on our own without His help.

But what we don’t see or realize that at the end of the movie no matter how the end concludes it was just a movie for our entertainment. I say to you this day, don’t get yourself so caught up being entertained that you bring the world’s view of life into the plans that the Almighty has for you. Remember, for I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Have a wonderful and blessed day today…

  1. Amen. Yes, we sometimes want to steer the wheel of our life, but we must receive God’s direction for us and go the path, He designed for us.

    Blessings to you,
    Shenine
