2 Corinthians 5:17 says, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! Isaiah 43:19 says, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.
The Lord has been doing new things from the very beginning of life, starting with Genesis and God is wanting to do new things in our lives as well. But far to often we hold on to the old and the Lord won’t pry your hands off of what you are holding on to.
The Lord is always doing a new thing and He wants to do it through you” will you be willing to allow Him to do the new thing in your life?
Often times as adults we get scared of new things we don’t like change, but when we sit back and observe our children they are always changing from new fade designs, to new friends, new sports, new ways of doing things. And they seem to like doing those new changes, could it be that if they kept doing it the same old way they would get bored?
Maybe later today you can get some free time to yourself as the family is busy doing something you can ask yourself “what new thing must I allow God to do in my life? Because one thing is for sure we surely can’t become stagnant that’s no fun…Keep the idea of possible change, for God is always doing a new thing and I want to be right in it…AMEN
