Psalm 37:25 says”I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
How often have you and I read this verse? Many times, but have you taken the time to eat it? What is the Psalmist telling us? I believe it’s one of the Lord’s promises to His children.
In this verse we see a man remembering when he was young serving the Lord, and now that this man has gotten older he still sees how the Lord has never forgotten him. Not only forgotten him but that the man never had to beg for anything, in other words he lacked nothing. WHy? Because he is the seed of Jesus Christ.
During this man’s life span he has seen many things from people he’s seen the wicked keep doing wicked things not only to others but they done bad things to him. And yet the Lord never allowed the wicked to have victory over him.
That’s right folks because you and I are apart of that seed, no person or persons will ever have victory over a child of God, no matter what the enemy dresses up to fake us no matter what our environment might appear to look like, evil will NEVER over take us.
We go through the fires oh yes, as like the Holy Spirit was in the fire with the three Hebrew boys so will the Lord be with us in the fire. What an assurance of confidence that we have in knowing that God will never see the righteous forsaken. We have a reason to shout.
Lord I thank you that no man will ever have victory over me. I don’t have to beg for anything for You my Lord shall supply all my needs according to Your riches and glory. You are the lifter of my head. AMEN
Have a wonderful and blessed Tuesday!
