It’s December

Luke 2:10 says” And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.

Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Hello December! How are you? This is the last month before the new year comes in. During the month of December people think about resolutions, reorganizing and new beginnings.

As I sit here in my office I wanted to give a scripture that is fitting for whatever you might be thinking.

Not sure what you want to do, not sure how things are going to turn out, life has uncertainties. But one thing remains the same and that is this. Regardless of what you are thinking about  remember this  a Savior was born so that mankind can live in eternity with Him.

It’s not about the resolutions you make it’s not about what you have planned for your life, it’s all about Jesus. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Don’t become frazzled don’t be anxious, trust in Him and He will see you through.

I can remember a time when all I would do when December came was think about what resolutions I was going to make. How I was going to make my future better then the year before. Only to find I came up empty handed because I never included the plans the Lord had for my life. Do you know how frustrating that is? You work yourself in a sweat just to see no fruit of what you are doing. Then after all the tears and sweat you come to your senses to realize the Lord never told you to do any of it. How crazy is that? I call it stupidity.

That was then I’ve learned never to do that again. I shared this with you so you will not get yourself worked up like I use to, I know we all have done it and many of us have shouted at ourselves for the things we done wrong. Maybe you are already planning what the new year is going to be for you, I tell you now before you make any plans stop and ask the Lord and see what He says, life will be much easier on you.

My prayers are that this devotion blessed you so much that you can say Lord you sent me a word just in time..AMEN

  1. Great word. Leaving The Lord out causing us to become despondent. We doubt ourselves and our ability to follow through – but remembering to include The Lord and seeking the Holy Spirit for strength will keep us committed as we follow His will, not ours.
