Today’s Word: ASK

FAQLuke 11:9 says” And I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.

Matthew 7:7 says” Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Why are you afraid to ask of the Lord?

Then we wonder why we don’t have. I’ve even heard people say “well the Lord knows what I need, I don’t have to ask” I too use to be one of those people but I found out that is not Scriptural at all. Of course the Lord Jesus knows what we stand in need of.  He’s All Knowing, and in His All Knowing He wants us to communicate with Him and the only way that can be done is if you open your mouth and speak.

We can be so quick to ask of others but we shy away from asking of the Lord.  This morning open your mouth and ask of the Lord, for the Lord God’s ear is waiting to hear from you now. He gives to His children so generously.

His word tells us to ask and once we ask it will be given unto you. That is a promise of His word, He will do what His word says. Declare today that you will do what the word says.  And I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.

I don’t know about you but my spirit loves this verse because when I do what it says I find all kinds of treasures and I am blessed by those treasure of God’s Word. AMEN

  1. Amen! And I am moved to add that sometimes we find it hard to ask of others, far less asking of the Lord. Not sure why we think we’re so self-sufficient we can do it all, but admit that we need to take a step back and regroup as we commit to sincerely laying our requests at God’s feet. Have a great week!
