In Numbers chapter 11 it speaks about how the people complained about everything. When the people complained it displeased the Lord so much that when He heard their complaining His anger was aroused, so the fire of the Lord burned among them and consumed some in the outskirts of the camp, than the people cried out to Moses and when Moses prayed to the Lord, the fire was quenched.
And so here we are 2000 years later way beyond Moses day and yet we too complain to God about every little thing. It’s as if we too just aren’t pleased with what Jesus does in our lives. The Lord still becomes displeased when His children complain and I do believe that God sends fire down from heaven to burn around our outskirts in today’s world. God will allow life to bring us to our knees so we will stop the complaining and start being thankful and grateful for what God has already done.
When you complain you can’t hear God’s voice? When you complain you can’t discern? When you complain you have no faith or trust in God? Complaining is like a viper snake ready to suck the life out of you till it drains you completely dry.
I read this story many of times but this time it stopped me right in my tracks.
