The Spills in Our Life

Psalm 40:17 says” And me? I’m a mess. I’m nothing and have nothing: make something of me. You can do it; you’ve got what it takes – but God, don’t put it off. (The Message Bible Version)

spills in lifeThe Psalmist David is crying out to God telling the Lord that he is a mess, he’s made so many mistakes and everything that he does he ends up doing it completely wrong and making matters even worse.

David is pleading to the Lord to make something good of him for he knows that he can’t do it. He is also saying that he needs the Lord to step in right away for he can’t wait another second. Otherwise David will mess up again.

Wow! Family this sounds so much like you and I doesn’t it? Look at how much of a mess we made things in our lives. Messes are like spills you just don’t know where to start to clean it up.  Surly it’s not for us to relying upon our own intellect. The antioxidant for our mistakes that we make is running to Jesus. He’s there to help us in the midst of our spills.

Don’t run away from Him like so many people do but run to Him He’s the only One who can clean it up and clean you at the same time. AMEN!

Have a blessed Saturday and Sunday and I will see you Monday.

  2. This is me, Desiray. I can’t tell you how many times I look and think, I am such a mess. Thank you for sharing the hope of running to Jesus, who always knows what to do. God bless you and yours!

  3. Thank you all so much for the comments and giving this post three checks. Debbie I know just what you are saying about the how many times, if I could count that high how many times I’ve done the same thing. One thing for sure now is that I less of the how many times now. Glory to God.
