Romans 12:19 says” Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.
Remember this saying” Revenge is a dish best served cold.“revenge tells that the best payback is the one that comes with planning, and that brings the most horrendous pain to your enemies when they are not expecting and are just enjoying the fruits of all the dishonor they brought upon you.
And for so long many of us has lived by this creed, so much that we have and had become so blind to it that the only person who we ends up hurting is ourselves. Because truly rather we thought we were getting away with something we done to someone or not, it came back to us double in what we dished out to someone else.
Did you ever later think about why you got a double dose of your own medicine? The bible clearly tells us that we are not to seek revenge but leave room for God’s wrath for it belongs to God to handle such matters.
How many times after you sought revenge that you waited for God to take care of them as well? Come on, raise your hands I know you have. Do you know why God did not seek revenge? It was because you never left room for God to do it. You took it upon yourself to be judge and jury. No need for God to bring any type of sentence you already done it.
One thing we need to keep in mind when it comes to revenge no matter how devastating it is, we are nobody’s judge so let it go and wait for God to handle it. He does such a much better job at it then you and I ever will. AMEN
