The Rocks will CRY OUT!

Luke 19:40 says” And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Luke 19 40

What was Jesus saying? That if these should hold their peace; be silent, and not sing the praises of God.

And ascribe glory to him, and profess the Messiah, and make this public acknowledgment of him:  the stones would immediately cry out;

He was letting them know that when we don’t worship Him, His creation will surely praise Him.

We also see in the Old Testament in Habakkuk 2:11 say” The stones of the wall will cry out, and the beams of the woodwork will echo it.

Psalm 96:11 say’s Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. All through out scriptures we see how God’ perfect creation sing praises to Him.

Now the question for you and I is are we going to sing praise?  I remember the first time I heard this verses and how it had me thinking from that moment I promised myself that I will not let no rock cry out for me, for I want to be crying out myself to my Lord.

***don’t forget to rate this devotion” God Bless you all and have a GREAT WEEKEND!
