Kingdom Principle about “Death” it is not final!

Revelation 14:13 says” Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

John 11:25-26  says” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;  and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

No one want to think about death, but death for a Christian is a Home Coming, going home to be with the Lord. But every now and then you and I will find ourselves in a situation where we must minister to someone about death. It’s not easy to explain to a mother the death of her new-born child, or why a young girl was murdered, or a father who was killed on his way to work, or a sister dying from an illness.

Death makes a lot of us uncomfortable, and our hearts go out towards that family. We say I am sorry to hear about your lost, my condolences are with you and the family and we leave it like that. Because we aren’t sure what to say.

When Jarvis daughter was dead notice that Jesus did not panic, when Lazarus died notice how He did not rush right over when the sisters came, they said I know he will rise in the latter but Jesus said NO, He will rise now because Jesus is the resurrection.

But how does one comfort the family of someone who died as a sinner? This can be very difficult and yet our society will say to the grieving family that they are at peace. That is an un-truth because for anyone to die without Jesus there is no peace for their soul. I understand that we want the family to be at peace and bring some comfort but lies will not bring comfort. What our respond should be is that we begin to pray for that family and ask them do they know Jesus as their Lord and Savior? Some of us we may think this is not the place or the time. but the bible clearly says that no man knows the hour or the day of His coming.

So if we don’t tell that family about Jesus what we are saying is that we are comfortable with another soul going to hell with-out Jesus? As a Christian we should never be comfortable about a soul living or dying without Jesus.

Believers must understand this Kingdom Principle about “Death” it is not final! Jesus is our proof that death is not final! When they crucified Him and buried Him they thought is was final but when Jesus rose from the dead we see that death is not final.

I hope that after reading this that you don’t feel weird about it because being a child of God means that sometimes we will find ourselves in places where it is not always comfortable for us, but if you will allow the Holy Spirit to use you at that very hour He will get you through it. Jesus said in 1 Corinthians 15:55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The grave could not hold HIM!

    1. Death is never easy for any of us. but we still must speak the gospel, and some Christians won’t even tell the truth to the family who is grieving. I’ve been to funerals and I even heard pastors say that they are home with the Lord, knowing that they person is not because they never accepted Jesus as their Savior. Lies does nothing for no one.
