There are two places that we will speak from, either we will speak from “love” or we will speak from “anger“.
Now depending on what we are feeling at the moment will determine which vessel we will speak from. When we are disappointed by a love one we speak from our anger, and then we wonder how come they don’t listen to us or understand what we are saying? They become offensive towards us.
The reason being is because we spoke to them from the anger instead of speaking to them from love. It’s not easy speaking from love although we love them it doesn’t always come out that way does it? So how can we make sure that when we speak that we actually speak from love and not from the anger?
One of the ways we can do this is first take a deep breath and wait a moment before we speak. It’s not easy for us because we are so used to reacting without waiting. It’s not until afterwards that we realize just how sorry we are for speaking to them.
Anytime we raise our voices we are speaking from that anger when we speak slowly and clearly we are speaking from love. You might not agree but think for a moment, if someone spoke to you in a calm voice you are more likely to listen to them, but if someone spoke to you harshly and loud what are the chances of you wanting to listen to anything that person has to say?
Remember speak from a place of love instead of a place of anger. People will listen to what you have to say when you speak from love. AMEN
