Believe

Hebrews 11:1 says’ Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

One of the hardest things for us is to believe in God. It’s not that we don’t know how to believe for we know all to well how to believe, and I am going to show you that you know how to.

For instance you believe in family, children, friends, love, humanity and so forth. We all believe in something right? Now let me ask you this, how much effort does it take you to believe in what you believe in? In all honesty it doesn’t take much effort to believe.

Then why do we struggle with believing in God? We lack the faith to trust him, sure we all have past and part of our past disappointments have hinder us and now we have trust issues. But when you believe in the things or people you have chosen to believe in you don’t worry about trusting them, do you?

You can call your best friend and ask him or her to pick something up for you at the store or drop some important papers to the court-house for you and you will go about your day in peace because you trust that they will do it for you.

If you can have that much trust in your friend without reservations, why can’t you trust Jesus without reservations? Something to think about today as you go about your Tuesday.

God bless you.

  1. I agree. With people on earth, we can confront them and see their facial expressions, hear what they say and the tone they say it in, and hopefully resolve the issue. With our relationships with God, we have to have that faith that he is reacting just like a best friend, or better yet, a parent would; loving and forgiving us, imagine him nodding his head in understanding. You know what I mean?
