John 4:36 Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvest the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.
Those who introduce others to Jesus and lead them to the point of accepting Christ and yielding their lives to him are doing something of eternal significance.
Often times one might feel discouraged when witnessing to someone about Jesus. And though you have been praying and witnessing to people including your love ones you eagerly a waiting for them to accept the invitation of salvation. We ask ourselves when are they going to do it? We will even ask the person have they accepted Jesus? We wonder when are they going to do it? This scripture here Jesus wants you to be affirmed in His word.
Whether you are the one who planted the spiritual seeds of love and kindness that later caused someone to turn to God or whether we pray with someone to actually receive Christ, it’s Christ who can touch the hearts of man. One will plant the seed and one will come and water it. For we seldom see or experience the full results of own spiritual labors because other faithful Christians will come behind us and reap a spiritual harvest where we have previously planted and invest in lives.
So, the next time you think that your not making a difference remember this scripture, a plant can never grow if no one plants a seed. When you get to heaven you will see all the seeds you have planted. AMEN
