Websters define the word “faithful” as being loyal, constant and steadfast. Devoted, dedicated, committed, true, and unswerving.

We know that God is faithful. The question I pose to you today is are you faithful to God? Are you faithful to the things He has given you? Are you faithful in what He has called you to do? Are you faithful in living out your purpose in life?

Benefits for being faithful

  • Psalm 37:28 – “For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones.”
  • Proverbs 3:12 – “My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring your prosperity.”

We allow distractions and what others say keep us from being faithful to God. And the reason we do it is because we place our value in the person or persons instead of placing our value in Christ Jesus.

God will give you an assignment and we immediately think that things are to be blossoming soon but because they are not moving as fast as we would like them to we go to others and get their opinions on the matter and we take their advice. This type of behavior will only cause you to lose focus and not remain faithful to the purpose God has given you.

Remember what ever the Lord has spoken to you about it will come to pass. For the Lord is not slow as you think He is. His word never returns void it will accomplish that what He sent it to do. Continue to remain faithful to the Lord.
