Mark 11:23 says” Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
One of the things that me and my husband enjoys doing is going hiking in the mountains. I can remember the first time I went on a hiking trip. I started out on short trails and before long I was on the advance ones. Reaching the top of a mountain and look out at God’s creation is a breath-taking experience.
As with any journey you must start by placing one foot in front of the other, taking it slow. In life we find ourselves walking on some smooth paths and then we are on rough paths. It’s in those rough paths and up hills that we become scared, but Mark tells us that we are to command those mountains to be removed from our path.
The mountain that Mark is referring to is not the physical mountain that we see it’s those things that like to distract us from staying on the course. So today I want to remind you that whatever is distracting you or getting your attention you need to command it to go into the sea and never to return. AMEN
Have a wonderful and Blessed Weekend.
