Luke 12:1 says’ Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Jesus condemns the hypocrisy, pretense and double stands of the Pharisees, warning his disciples to be care that this sinful trait does not enter their own lives and ministry.
A lifestyle of hypocrisy is a sign that a person does not fear God with a holy reverence and respect for his character, power and judgement. It also is a sign that a person has not transformed their lives to the life of Christ.
Jesus doesn’t want us who are His children to become a hypocrite, be true and honest, even when you are pressured by the life of events in the world. We must remain true to what we say we profess, AMEN
