Joshua becomes a Leader

Joshua 1:5 says’  No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Can you imagine how Joshua must have felt after the death of Moses? Joshua has been at his side from the beginning, experiencing those set backs and all the bickering that the people did. He also saw all the miracles take place. Then one day the Lord spoke to Joshua and told him that he will carry on where Moses left off, I can only imagine the thoughts and feelings that he had. nervousness, afraid uncertainties was in his heart.

Joshua

The Lord knew exactly how Joshua felt but God gave him a promise, He told him,  No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. WOW! What a promise, talk about a boast of strength that must have soared through his body.  In other words God was saying I will give you everyplace where your foot is placed. Now folks I don’t know about you but that is something to jump-up-and-down to. If you didn’t shout you missed your chance because this just blows me away. Thank you Jesus! Glory to GOD!

Just like Joshua maybe you are wondering how are to you finish where someone else left off? Trust God and His word for His promises are true and He is faithful. We can’t rely upon our own strength and intellect. Mediate on this verse all day and jot down what the Spirit reveals to you so that you can apply it to your life.
