Greatest Test of Faith

I remember a time when my faith was not so strong, I remember how I would be disappointed because the Lord did not give me what I wanted. I remember saying why even pray if God doesn’t give me what I ask.

Then my mother corrected me and said “Desi faith is not getting what you want faith is believing God is who He says He is. Of course that didn’t make sense to me at the time but over time I saw just what faith is. I saw the Lord’s hand in every area of my life and I began to put my faith in who He is and not what He can do for me.

Now when I look at my faith in Jesus I can say that “I have truly grown” because now I thank the Lord for what He does not give me. Are you able to say “Thank You Lord for what He does not give you?

  1. We learn so much from our mothers, don’t we? Faith is waiting on the Lord, knowing that His time is not always our time, as much as we want or need something, we have to wait on Him and remember that He knows so much more than we do, and He always has only the best in mind for us. It’s just believing. That is what faith is. Believing that when we pray without ceasing, thank him for answering your prayers in faith, knowing that it is already taken care of.
