Resting Equals Peace

Matthew 11:28 says” Come unto me all, ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.

Have you ever felt so relaxed that you had to pinch yourself to make sure it’s real? I know sounds strange, right? But often times I find myself given a problem to the Lord and I walk away with such peace that I am relaxed mentally, physically and spiritually.

rest

Could this be what resting in God is all about? I believe so. Now I am not saying that I got it mastered, but what I am saying is there are those moments in my life that I literally walk in peace.

To be able to relax in God is an amazing experience, the stress and uncertainties are. gone Each time this happens I literally have to pinch myself because I can’t believe it’s real, not saying that His peace isn’t real. No! His peace is very real what’s shocking is that I am actually seeing myself resting in God without even giving it any thought what so ever.

Going back and check myself to see did I even had a problem that I gave to God, because I never experienced this type of peace that I can relax. It goes to show that everyday is a day for growth and maturity in Christ.

Why do I tell you this? Well pretty simple because when life brings challenges our way and when we pray to our Father in Heaven many times we don’t trust God enough to rest in Him. God is telling you that when you come to Him He wants you and I to leave in peace knowing that He will take care of our affairs.

Now go and rest in the Lord!

  1. Thank you for this. As a believer i have a hard time with this. But reading your post today i will try and practice this. I have to admit i didn;t really understand what this meant. i need to understand that Jesus is my burden bearer and Jesus is the true Prince of Peace

  2. That’s What That Is!! I know exactly what You’re saying, Desiray. I’m learning to trust God to take care of All My affairs…He’s already taken care of what I will need on Tomorrow, because He Is Yesterday…Today…Tomorrow and Forever. Somebody Pinch Me!!
