Psalm 37:4 says” Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Anytime we are so desperate we quote this scripture. Is it safe to say that we are wrong in how we are using it? Do we really know the meaning of it? Many of us are misinterpreting it.
The word delight” means to be happy” when we are happy in the Lord the Lord will give us the desires of our hearts because our desires will become His desires.
Psalm 23:3 says” He restores my soul, he guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name sake. When you feel faint and weary, when you have backsliding away from God the Lord will restore your soul and restore you back to God. He restored my soul. When the soul grows sorrowful he revives it; when it is sinful he sanctified it; when it is weak he strengthens it.
Psalm 37:7 says” Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. When you have done everything according to God’s Word the Lord tells us to “Rest In The Lord” and wait patiently for Him. The problem that we struggle with is resting; for we have not learned the art of resting. We always believe that we need to be doing something. God wants you to rest and not be weary,we should never allow anything to make us come un-glued.
