Negative People, when they don’t receive you

Luke 10:10-13 says” But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say, ‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’ I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town. “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

Hindrance

Did you know that a negative person will rob you if you let them? They will leave you empty with all their fears. Why do they do this? I do believe that the reason a person or persons do this is because of several different factors, one is that they are not happy with who they are. In this verse Luke is telling us that Jesus gave them a direct instruction that when they go and witness to people they will find resistance, people will speak negatively about them and Jesus tells them exactly how they are to handle it.

If you and I would apply this same principle when we talk to people about Christ then when they began to speak negatively towards the message we bring we wouldn’t take it personally as if we are being attack. But because we are so fleshly we get upset and we end up urging over the word because we want them to believe like we believe.

We will always have negative people in the world they are not going to leave you and I alone, the question becomes how are you going to handle them.
