How is your comfort zone?

Deuteronomy 31:8 says” It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

When it comes to comfort where do you find comfort? Dismay means to be discouraged, disheartenment, despair, the feeling that everything is wrong and nothing will turn out well.

For some comfort comes in many different shapes and sizes, some find it in the foods they eat while others find comfort in the arm of a lover, some find comfort in shopping and drinking. The list goes on and on and the hard fact about it is that the places we find our comfort is only short-lived.

It’s only takes our mind off of what we are running from, and yet many if not trillions of Americans are being suffocated in their own comfort which will eventually destroy them.

I know life is not fair and it comes and catches us off guard allot, often times we don’t have to do a thing for bad things to just happen to us, but Jesus want you and I too know that our comfort will never come in a form of this world, no amount of food you eat, no amount of drinking you do or all the shopping you do is going to comfort you like the Lord Himself.

Do you know that every step you and I take that the Lord goes before us to prepare the way? If you ask me that is amazing to know that no matter what or how I feel at the moment God is always there to comfort us. In the day and night, no matter the hour all we have to do is call on His Great Name.

Today I challenge you to walk in the comfort of the assurance of Jesus Christ, rest in His Loving Arms and don’t be moved by your environment because what ever it is that has you not feeling loved, God will love you and show you how to always be in peace and comfort if you would just give it over to Him. He’s shoulders are much bigger than ours.
