Update: Calling All Married Couples

Last week I posted a devotion called “Calling All Married Couples.” If you haven’t read it I hope you will go and read it. I do ask  you to forgive me for not posting with the update on Friday.

During the last few weeks I have been praying for y husband in a more specific way then what I normally do. Well family and friends the results have been mind-blowing, every day my husband has called me from his job to tell me that God has blessed him.  He had received extra money in his pay check. His employer paid overtime pay for extra engineer man to assist  him.

The Lord also opened the door for my husband to kick off a brand new ministry teaching class.  My husband is more relax and the stress has gone.  He has more energy.

We are more patient with one another and just today my husband said ” honey thank you so much for praying for me the way you have been, and now he wants to pray for me that way like I have been praying for him.

I have to say that I have noticed how I feel when I say these prayers for him each morning, I get up rushing to pray for him. My heart is so eager to speak those words. I feel a closer relationship with my husband, and I know that God is pleased because it’s not about me it’s about me loving my husband the way God says I am to love him.

I am truly thankful to God for placing those scriptures in my heart to cause me to mediate and act upon God’s Word.

Lord God I know that we as married people tend to take our spouses for granted at times, we also take our prayer life for granted that we end up not praying for them from head to toe. Lord I ask you to place that desire in every man and woman who is married that they will hunger to pray for their spouse in away that is according to  your will. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. AMEN
