Mixed Marriages

Ezra’s Prayer About Intermarriage

Ezra 9:1-2 says” After these things had been done, the leaders came to me and said, “The people of Israel, including the priests and the Levites, have not kept themselves separate from the neighboring people’s with their detestable practices, like those of the Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Jebusites, Ammonites, Moabites, Egyptians and Amorites. They have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and their sons, and have mingled the holy race with the peoples around them. And the leaders and officials have led the way in this unfaithfulness.”

thXC8SD5H5There are a few scriptures that speaks of intermarriage, but sadly enough some people have used these verses to say that people of different color should not marry outside of their own race.

The word here clearly states that they should not marry anyone who was not faithful to GOD!

So why does a person use this and other scriptures about being married to someone of a different race? I do believe it has to do with them having an issue with themselves, something deep down inside of them is broken.

God will never tell us not marry someone of a different race, His word states that we are not to be unequally yoked! Which means you are not to marry an unbeliever.

To those who have a problem with mixed marriages if you really do have a problem with people marrying outside their race be honest and say so but don’t use the Bible to try to make your point when you have not studied the scriptures for yourself.
