Romans 8:26-27 says’ Meanwhile, the moment we get tied in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us ,making prayer out of our wordless signs, our aching groans. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
We become so impatient when it comes to waiting, we don’t like waiting for the elevator we don’t like waiting on hold while on the phone. We are a people who simply just hate waiting period. And the sad thing is that it can be something good that we are expecting, and yet we still don’t want to wait. We are so much like a microwave society that we have really missed out on some great moments in life.
When we come to God we expect God to answer us immediately, but God doesn’t operate on our timing. God is wanting to do a work in us, but did you know that when you and I refuse to wait we are literally interrupting God? By telling Him we don’t want His help? Who wouldn’t want help if they felled into a ditch? And yet we tell God to stop helping us, and because He is God and He never will force Himself or His word in a person’s life. He will wait on us to accept His help. But if we would just stop being so impatient and wait till the process is done we will be very pleased with the outcome.
