The faint and Heart

Jeremiah 51:46 says”Do not lose heart or be afraid when rumors are heard in the land; one rumor comes this year, another the next, rumors of violence in the land and of ruler against ruler.

We all have heard the saying “not for the faint in heart, correct?” But what does it really means? One dictionary says, Lacking conviction or boldness or courage, another says, people who are squeamish; someone who is sickened or disturbed by unpleasantness or challenge.

When we are faint in our hearts what do we do? Some of us might become ill, some might even pass-out because it was more than we could take. And here in Jeremiah we see that God is saying don’t lose heart, which means don’t give up don’t become squeamish and nervous for evil is in the land and you and I will witness a lot of it. God is also telling Jeremiah to don’t lose focus of who’s in charge of your life.

Maybe today you got to work and something unpleasant happened it took you by surprised, and you aren’t sure what to do or what will happen to you. God is saying don’t lose heart or be afraid, for I am the Lord Your GOD and I will deliver you from all those rumors and rulers who have been suppressing you.

TO God be the Glory and a Great day today.
