Misguided Priorities

1 John 4: 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Do you remember the song that had these words to it?” what the world needs now, is love sweet love, it’s thee only thing that’s there just to little of?  Yeah, of course you do. When I would sing the melody of it, it never really dawned on me as to how true those words really are. Or how deep they reach.

loveWhen I look at the world as a whole meaning the four corners of the globe, everything that we do from religion, politics, to our careers, pretty much everything in this life as human beings.

We lack “LOVE I am not talking about superficial love, or the surface love, or the love you have for your friends, and family. I am talking about a love that goes way beyond the human mind. It’s the love that Jesus has.

What has happened to respect for a life? We kill more babies in abortion clinics, we have more shootings in our communities while innocent women, men and children just happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. All because someone else has an agenda of their own, and you don’t matter to them. We do more killings in the name of religion then over any war that this country and other counties fought in. And at the same time these people fighting over religion have no relationship with the One and Only God Almighty at all!

These big companies want you to buy into their motto of “that were all family here” and for the most part many people believe them, until something comes up and you have to take time away from the job. Will that company hold your position until you come back? Are they going to pay your medical bills and help you financially until you are able to get up on your feet? Of course not! Because you aren’t family to them, they just say that because it sounds nice. But when we have the love that Jesus has and talks about, it’s that type of love that will motivate you to do something other than sit and watch like many of us do.

so, are the lyrics to this song really true “what the world needs now is love sweet love, it’s thee only thing that their just to little of?

  1. I agree with your message. However I believe you may be wrong about religion being the main cause of killings in history. Check out this link.
I think you may be interestedd in my post which basically agrees with yours. The motto of my blog also is similar about love except I added wisdom in addition to love is what the world need now.

    1. When I stated religion what I was talking about is when they do it you hear them say whatever religion or whatever god that they serve, told them to do it.
