Letting it Go: It’s never Easy

Philippians 4:6 says” Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

thLetting go is never easy and the reason why is because of our past experiences and disappointments in life. And yet we hear and read in the word of God that His word tells us to let go. Our mind and hearts battle back and forth with doing it it’s like a toggle-war that we are playing. I know for me had a problem with being anxious, and I don’t even know where it all came from or about. But what I do know is that I can become anxious very quickly. And because I struggle in this area of my life, I had to face this anxious spirit face to face and it was a scary thing to do.

One of the things I do when I can’t openly speak about it I write and so I got my journal out and started writing this very scripture and each night I recite it back to God asking God to not just to help me with it but to remove it completely from me. I can’t be held hostage with that spirit, for God did not give me the spirit of fear but of love and a sound mind.

I am choosing not to allow fear/anxiety to control my life. I am choosing to guard my heart, I am choosing to focus my mind on what is truth in the midst of uncertain times. God is wanting to know what are you going to let go from your hands? You and I can’t afford to hold on to those things they don’t benefit us at all, so let it slip right out of your hands today and be free like never before. WHY? Because it’s time for you and me to soar like eagles!
