Is a “picture” really a thousand words?

Bible Trivia question was: What book of the bible can you find, Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path? The Trivia answer is: Psalm 119:05

Good morning and happy Saturday to everyone. They say that a picture is a thousand words and I have to say I agree with that statement, reason being we all can look at the same thing and see something totally different. I want you to take a moment and stand in front of a mirror and look at yourself, I mean this. I want you to name what you see when you look at yourself? How many things different things can you see? You might have to get a piece of paper to jot them down. This will only work if you are honest about what you see.

After you have done that compare your list to what you thought you saw before. Truth be told the first time you wasn’t honest with who you are, you ignored what you really saw. There was many things we don’t like about ourselves and so we hide behind the mask to fool ourselves.

This assignment was intended to show you that if you are honest with yourself and be accountable,  then you will see that those sand storms are only a mask of cloudy dust waiting to flog your perspective. When the dust settles down and it always does, your perspective of things will change as well.

The problem with us is we need to learn to walk by faith and not by sight. For God is right there with us no matter when the sandstorm comes. Once we begin to practice this truth in our lives we will see that a picture really is worth a thousand words.

Todays Bible Trivia: What was Paul’s name before he became a disciple of Christ?

Answer will be given on the next day’s devotion.
