Diversions is One of the Enemies Favorite Tactic

Yesterday’s Bible Trivia: What was Paul’s name before he became a disciple of Christ?

Answer: Saul.

Yesterday afternoon on the live broadcast radio I spoke about how the enemy uses Diversions to keep us so busy in life. And though my target listeners was towards women the same thing applies to men. I shared with the listeners how the enemy uses these diversions to keep us away from God. He uses those non-essentials such as having us working endless hours.

Another one of his tricks is he fills our minds with non-sense, getting us to over load our minds with junk keep us watching more TV, Social Media, CD’s and so forth. He gets us involved in activities so that we don’t appreciate the things of God. He gets pleasure in us being bored, this is why many of us look forward to vacations. Because we have gotten in boredom. We aren’t satisfied with nothing in our lives.

During the show I told the listeners what if we actually shut the mouth of the devil! The only reason that the devil and his demons distracts us is for he knows that we are already winners, because of Jesus Christ. The devil don’t want you and I too stand on the word of God, for he knows the moment we do then we defeat all his plans he has for us. This is why he uses diversions to gets our minds off of what we already know. I asked my listeners yesterday now I am asking you, What if you actually shut the mouth of the devil? And you walked in knowing you can’t be moved? One important thing we must remember we are not going to have an excellent day everyday, for life has its moments. We can’t live on the mountain everyday we gotta live also in the vallies. But just because your location changes your faith should not be wavering.

Today’s Bible Trivia: Thomas on of Jesus disciples, what was he known as?

Answer will be given on the next day’s devotion

  1. I have been pondering this very thing this week. How to show others the joy that us inside my heart. When at work I somehow almost always let my surrounding circumstances affect my countenance. My joy seems only hidden in my heart and I doubt anyone would desire to have what I claim to have. This week while on the hunt for the answer from God on how I might begin to live regardless of the circumstances around me, whether in the valley or on the mountain top, this is what I have been brought to. JOHN 15:10-11. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall ABIDE in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and ABIDE in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that MY JOY might remain in you, and that your JOY might be full.

So, now I am seeking how to ABIDE in Him as I should, continuing it all day so that His joy might remain in me and would be made full. I start out pretty good and normally the stress at work seems to overcome my flesh. I pray I continue to learn and grow as I listen to my Father in Heaven.

    1. My dear, I know the feeling of what you are describing about work. I too experienced this but I will tell you what God told me. It’s not about my circumstances or surroundings it’s about ME> That’s right it’s about me spending more time with Him. Once I started doing that the pressures of work has gone. Turns out it never was pressure the enemy uses those things to distract us from God. Lord I ask you to help my friend here who has been seeking answers to the stressful things in her life. Lord thank You for giving her the scripture to stand on. And as she move forward I pray she continue to press on in the Mighty Name of Jesus, AMEN

      1. You are more then welcome…that is what they body of Christ is all about we are to be the hands and feet of Christ.
