Why R U “Glorifying” the Stuff in Our Lives?

Deuteronomy 6:5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

Question: If you didn’t have to worry about the stuff in your life, would you serve the Lord whole-heartly?

It might sound like a weird question but it’s not because we as Christians allow the stuff in our lives determine how much we will serve the Lord. Now before you kick and scream like a child, relax. When things are going well in our lives we slack on our Christian walk. But the moment our little world begins to trimmer we panic and become unglued. We don’t think about drawing closer to God do we? We set out to find solutions. Our walk becomes slow we assume God’s not there.

We allow the stuff in our lives to be heighten higher than the God we serve. What we have to do is stop glorifying the stuff in our lives and start lifting up Jesus. He’s the one that we should be glorifying not the stuff in our lives.

If the stuff in your life is taking up the space where the Lord needs to be in your life, you are headed for some serious turbulence, which will harm you. One can not love the Lord God with all their heart if we remain to keep all the stuff in our hearts.

Have a blessed Friday, may the Lord protect and keep you.
