Revelation 9:10 says” They have tails and stings like scorpions, and their power to hurt people for five months is in their tails.

When it comes to housekeeping it is safe to say that there are folks who keeps a dirty house. Then there are those who keeps their house so clean that you would think no one lives in that house. In today’s homes there are so much activities going on that housekeeping takes a back seat. If you entered the average home you will find shoes out-of-place clothing not hung on racks.

housekeepingHere in this scripture John talks about sting from a scorpions tail and how much power it has to he point that when it stings its victims it will last for a period of five months. Imagine what would happen if you and I did not clean our house for five months?  We will have scorpions moving into our home? We will have corrosion, bacteria will begin to grow, the people in that house will become very ill. Now think about your daily Christian walk, when we aren’t spending time in reading our bibles, praying, worship and fellowship with other saints our spiritual life will start becoming just like the dirty dishes piled up for days. One will become weak in the faith while spiraling down a hopeless stare.

Sadly though there are people who do live like this it’s called hoarding which is an emotional illness. And though you may not be living a hoarding life many of us are living it spiritually without evening knowing it. According to 1Thessalonians 4:11 its says” And to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you.

For the ladies we want to be like the Virtuous Woman don’t we? We can’t be like her if we aren’t doing what the scripture says. Proverbs 31:15 says” She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household and portions for her maidens.

  1. Thank you for yet another inspirational message. The importance of “regular” maintenance cannot be stressed enough!
That’s why Jesus reminds us that it is DAILY bread [Mt. 6:11; Lk. 11:13].
Proper spiritual “food” must be renewed or it will stagnate. Everyone should be quite careful never to confuse the over-riding spiritual significance of the Lord’s many physical blessings. Jesus warned not to be so focused on material things, that we miss the real blessing intended by God. “This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.” – Jo. 6:58.

    1. Thank you so much for your insight of scripture you shared. We can’t afford to ever become stagnant in our walk. God bless you my friend.
