Law vs GRACE

This post is worth re-posting again, I posted this two years ago so I am sharing it again.

Once you are born again you are no longer under the Law you are under GRACE~~~When I was saved in my late 20′s I believed in generation curses, this is what bad teaching can really do to a person. It can messes them up.

I would always hear people say that we are part of a generational curse.

grace

I began asking myself, there has to me more to it then what I am getting. I better read and study the scriptures for myself, I had to check this out. What I found was shocking I was really being mislead all those years by bad teaching.  I didn’t even blame the laity who I blamed was myself, because it was my responsibility to study God’s word and seek the truth not go on what I heard someone else say as truth.

Once a person have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior, they are not bound by the law for they are under grace. And yet we still have pastors preaching from the pulpit telling the congregation that they are apart of a generational curse. This type of preaching is not even biblical! Christ came to redeem us from the curse of the law.

Unfortunately we have this trend within the charismatic churches telling the congregation that they are a part of a generational curse. What a LIE! The enemy would love for you to believe. Because if he can get you to believe that your problems and the sins of your parents are now your sins you won’t be able to move forward. You will feel helpless and alone-ness. That is just what he wants. He wants to kill that seed in you.

Look at the example he did with Adam and Eve son’s out of hopelessness Cain killed Abel. He thought he was under a generational curse. And this is where people have and are tripping the body of Christ because when God told Abel he is now under a curse and the ground he toil will no longer yield crops and that he will be restless wandering on the earth. But what we neglect to teach is that when the Lord said this to Cain he said I will put a mark on Cain so that no one who finds him would kill him! So as you see God is not about general curses. God did not give Cain the Law he gave him His grace!

The Bible mentions “generational curses” in several places (Exodus 20:5; 34:7; Numbers 14:18; Deuteronomy 5:9). It sounds unfair for God to punish children for the sins of their fathers. However, this is looking at it from an earthly perspective. God knows that the effects of sin are passed down from one generation to the next. When a father has a sinful lifestyle, his children are likely to have the same sinful lifestyle as well. That is why it is not unjust for God to punish sin to the third or fourth generation – because they are committing the same sins their ancestors did. But they are being punished for their own sins, not the sins of their ancestors. The Bible specifically tells us that God does not hold children accountable for the sins of their parents (Deuteronomy 24:16).

The cure for generational curses is salvation through Jesus Christ. When we become Christians, we are new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17). How can a child of God still be under God’s curse (Romans 8:1)? The cure, then, for a “generational curse” is faith in Christ and a life consecrated to Him (Romans 12:1-2).
Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hanged on a tree:

God does not punish us for someone else sins folks! Everywhere the Scriptures present law and grace in sharply contrasted

What is grace? Unmerited Favor
Grace redeems from that curse.
Grace makes guilty man nigh to God
Grace is of forgiveness.
Grace says, “Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”
