2 Corinthians 5:17 sways” Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
A few bad chapters doesn’t mean that your story is over. In each of our lives we all go through different stages of growth, and each phase of the growth we learn something new. But getting to that next chapter in our lives is not easy, it comes with many different elements from disappointments to bad choices. When we look back at what has happen and we weaver back and forth what we could have or should have done differently. We can’t remain in that same chapter for ever. We have to keep moving and learn from what the lesson was.
The ashes that are apart of our lives should never be frowned upon because the Lord uses those ashes to bring us to a new chapters in our lives. While you were a sinner the Lord had a new life for you that is why He kept pursuing you. Once you became a born again believer in Christ Jesus, He took your old life and made you completely a new life. Everything about the old you has passed away and though you might not see it or think it has, according to the Lord it is gone.
I have heard people make statements like, there’s no use for me to start something new” or they’re to old to start over. To me that is just foolish talk because your life is never over, there is always something that you can do and God surely hasn’t told you to end the chapter in your life. But far to often some people believe that they can’t add another chapter in their life.
No matter what we all have a chapter that needs to continue in our lives. I ask you today what will you write to the chapters in your life today? Are you going to continue writing or are you going to stop living? As for me each day I keep writing in the book I want my chapters to be an inheritance that my family and friends can see in me and my grandchildren can benefit from, knowing that Jesus strengthens me to keep adding to the chapters in my life.
For my life is not my own nor is it about me, but about the people who the Lord wants to use me for.
Have a great Friday!
