Maximize your heart-rate

Isaiah 40:31 says” But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

This morning while at the gym, I decided to do only Cardio workouts. I chose the elliptical and treadmill, I set my settings to Cardio. What I noticed that after I input the information into the system the machine will keep you at your targeted heart rate for your age and weight.

Within two minutes of being on the machine the dashboard said that I wasn’t at my targeted rate yet so the incline raised up from 2.9 to 5.0 and that is when the flashing light came across the dashboard letting me know I have reached my targeted heart rate. I felt great a sense of accomplishment.

After twenty-five minutes of walking with the incline I managed to stay at that level. I started to think about how when we use our faith in life that we are just like the eagle who have found new strength, able to open its wings of faith and soar to new heights, new horizons.

And though my workout this morning was a great one and I accomplished allot at the gym I can literally see with my spiritual eyes how our faith looks when we active it. It’s one thing to say you have faith it’s another thing to have it active all the time. Faith is not something that we just use when we need it, faith has to be active at all times it’s like breathing you need air in order to live. Without faith you will never accomplish anything and you will die spiritually.

It’s amazing how the Lord uses everyday things in life to show us lessons and often times we miss out because were not open to the Lord.
