Today’s Word “Safety”

Proverbs 18:10 says The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
    the righteous man runs into it and is safe.

What does it mean to be safe? According to Webster’s it’s protected from or not exposed to danger or risk; not likely to be harmed or lost:

We all want to feel safe and be safe. What makes you feel safe? Is it your riches that you have acquired that makes you feel safe? Is it the prestige that you have? Is it the area of your life that makes you feel safe?

I am sure if I wanted to I could list allot of things that people consider that makes them safe. One should never place their safety in a place or person, unfortunately there are some who place their safety in those things. Scripture tells us that we are safe in the Lord.

Being safe in God is the highest form of safety, He keeps you safe when your world turns upside down, when you can’t make sense of the events taken place in your life. God’s safety is this tower where we can run in and nothing in this life can ever penetrate it. It gets no better then that folks.

Whose hands you are placing your security in?
