Being Focused

Proverbs 3:6 says” In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

We read this verse so often that we tend to not focus on the word “acknowledge”. Acknowledging the Lord means you seek Him first in all things. The problem with us is that we don’t seek the Lord until after the effect. Seeking Him first will save us allot of pain and heartache.

Being focus means eliminating stuff and junk out of your life that is keeping you from focusing on the Lord. We tend to have way too much meaningless things that are cluttering our lives that we tend to make them our priority, while our spiritual life is suffering.

Unfortunately, we only acknowledge the Lord when we have problems and the moment the problem has dissolved we are back on track to our bad behavior. But if we learn to disciple ourselves to stay focus we will find out just how quickly what’s really important and what’s not.

I know for myself I have a busy life from teaching to working outside my home. It’s not always easy staying focus because things do come up in our lives. When this happens and it does I take a step back take a deep breath and regroup, because I know that acknowledging the Lord first will only enhance my walk with the Lord.

So yes just like you I might be tired and don’t feel like reading my bible, or maybe I might not feel like praying because like I said things happen but I re-group and I acknowledge Him and I eliminate what is in my way at that moment to make time to read my bible and pray.

Acknowledging the Lord is acknowledging Him in everything in our lives. His word promise that when we do our paths will be straight. I rather walk the straight path then walk a crooked path.
