The wisdom of MAN and the World

1 Corinthians 1: 19 For it is written I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.

Ever since the beginning of time man has been trying to discredit God existence. Today’s scientist is still trying to prove that there is no GOD. Why do people do these things? Well it’s pretty easy it’s because of what man can’t understand or comprehend.

The world’s view of God is this, if man’s intellect can’t connect to God’s existence and creation man immediately believes there is no God, how could one person bring into existence the heavens and the earth?

In this verse of scripture Paul tells us what God will do to worldly wisdom that excludes God, because it emphasizes self-sufficiency and makes human knowledge the highest authority.

It refuses to accept God’s revelation in Jesus Christ. God calls this wisdom foolishness because it as kept humans from finding and believing the truth so that they may come to know their Creator.

A Christian’s worldview must be firmly based on God’s Word and its message of Christ. The original message of Christ must never be compromised or twisted to accommodate worldly philosophy, science or any other wisdom that man proclaims s great.

  1. Another great message, hopefully it will ignite a deeper search for God!
Unfortunately for the world without God, scripture makes clear that the ‘natural man’ (finite mind) CANNOT understand the things of God because they are SPIRITUALLY discerned. “The natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” – 1Cor. 2:14.
So much of the rhetoric displayed in the world by some thinking themselves to be Christian reminds me of the parable of the Pharisee & the publican in Luke 18 – “The Pharisee stood & prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. …” & another levied against those who dare to speak with authority on spiritual matters but have not been truly born again – “Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel” – Mt. 23:24.
Apart from the Holy Spirit dwelling IN a person, such person’s understanding of spiritual things is absolutely VOID. Jesus said, “unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God … do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ … –
    Jn.3:3, 7.
Those who have never experienced this ‘spiritual birth’ think it is something
associated merely with entrance into the after-life, but scriptural teaching related to
being born again explains that it is the Holy Spirit’s abiding presence within a true
believer sealing them from corruption & guiding them into TRUTH

      1. Desiray, you are too kind, but I appreciate your cordial reception. Continue to be blessed by the Lord always in your inspirational manner. Peace!
