2 Corinthians 10:7 says” Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.
In this photo illustration if I took a poll and asked the question what do you see? We all would agree that we see an apple, right? But if I asked is the apple whole or have the apple been eaten?
Some will say whole others will say eaten. And yet both are correct, because we respond by what we see.
You and I are like this apple, when we look at ourselves through the mirror we see ourselves put together, we don’t see our hearts rotten away like we see from the bitten apple, do we?
This is why we aren’t to judge a man according to his appearance, for man can dress up and have all the prestige and right stats in life, and all along he is headed for doom. But you and I will never know that because we can’t see the heart.
So, when troubles come and they will remember things are never as they appear! Yes, the storms are real and you will feel the seas tossing you but if you would for a moment take your eyes off of your circumstances and open your spiritual eyes you will see that this is not what it appears to be.
Just like when Peter and the disciples were in the boat and the storm came ragging, Peter cried out and when Jesus told him to come out of the boat, Peter thought he saw a ghost. Now why do you think Peter thought Jesus was a ghost? We can speculate that he has never seen anyone walk on water. Right their things were not as they appear to be. The storm was just a circumstance of life.
THINGS ARE NEVER AS THEY APPEAR! For if they were you and I would be in some serious trouble.
Have a blessed Monday!
