Regrets: We all Have Them

1John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Regret is associated with the failed results we get from the decisions we make!

We regret telling people how much we love them. We regret not spending enough time with our friends and love ones. We regret taking that new career thinking the grass would be greener. We regret those bad relationships that didn’t amount too much, and all those things can and does consume us.

We can’t change the choices in which we have already made, the only thing we can do is find a way to live with the choices and move on. But that’s easier said than done! One thing about regrets is that, it is the most important learning tool. Always try to find the lesson learned. Take control so you don’t repeat the same regrets. Satan tries to get at us with regrets. It is so easy to go back and relive memories that we aren’t proud of.

Jesus is the antidote for our regrets.

1John 1:9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

1 Peter 5:8Be sober-minded; be watchful.  Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

Psalm 34:4-5  “I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.”

Don’t allow yourself to be swallowed whole in your regrets and live a life of misery and shame, that is not what the Lord wants for you. It’s the enemy who preys on your regrets, he’s the one who wants you to lie down and die. Say no to the enemy and say yes to Jesus. He has what you need to break free of the bondage of regrets.

Have a wonderful Saturday friends and family

    1. I am happy to hear that it blessed your heart. It is hard as you mentioned but its not impossible. With Jesus we are free, we have to remember His words.
