2 Timothy 1:12 say’s Which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.
Today I want to talk just a little bit about the word “assurance.” There’s an old hymn called “blessed assurance. I am sure you all have heard it before, but just in case you haven’t I have taken the liberty to give you the chorus.
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
What or whom are you placing your assurance in? I tell you now if your assurance is not in Jesus Christ, you are in for a rude awaken my friend.
Father God, there is much distraction in this world that is trying so hard to get our attention to cause us to place our assurance in them. Lord, I ask you to help us keep our eyes off the things that are no use to us. Let our minds and hearts stay fixed upon you. Lord, I bind whatever that has taken steps in our lives I command it to up root and be destroyed in the name of Jesus. I ask for your healing power right now to heal those broken areas in our lives. And I give you praise and glory for what you are doing and have done in your children lives. AMEN
