Good Friday ~What it Means~

Mark 9:31 says”For he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise.”

As many prepare their families for all the festivities that they will be encountering. Pastors and Clergy will be preparing their messages. Merchants will be bringing all their best sells and merchandise to the floors.

I was wondering what will the messages be? The message I am talking about is how our hearts will give a message of Jesus Christ. Will it be so traditional as always or will we mediate on the night our Lord was about to be betrayed into the hands of sinners? So often we hear this message and we become all emotional but have no real message on the inside of us.

I believe in my heart that while Jesus was on that cross He was thinking of what the Father had told Him, that it was almost finished. I think back to the two thieves that was on the cross and one said to Him “ when you enter into your kingdom remember me” even at His dying Jesus still ministered to the broken and lost man. “Jesus answered him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise. Let’s not get into tradition with Good Friday but let the message of Christ rein in our spirit this season. Salvation is for everyone!

Perhaps you stumbled upon my devotion today and you don’t know Jesus, today is a great day for you to accept Him. Just pray this simple prayer. Lord, Jesus I know that you died for all mankind and I am a sinner in need of a savior. I repent of my sins and I ask you to come into my life today and help me be who you created me to be. In Jesus name, I pray AMEN! And just like that you are born into the Kingdom of God.

I say welcome and now as you start this journey I pray that you get yourself a bible, and if you can’t afford one please let me know and I will personally send you one. I am not kidding about getting you a bible, I am very serious because a bible is your manual for living everyday and the word is what you will need to go about your life.

May you all have a Blessed Good Friday! I look forward to sharing with you guys tomorrow for our Saturday Life Application, if you happen to of missed last weeks just click on Saturday’s and you can weigh in on it. Those who participated last week we had a great time in sharing.

  1. I love that you mentioned JESUS ministering even at the brink of death. So many times when we are hurt or in pain we isolate, we hole up, we enter a selfish stage.
We put on glasses that allow us to see nothing besides our own despair. Let us put on The Glasses of Christ! Let’s us pray to say Lord, I am giving you my hurt and pain, I trust that you will heal me in your Name. Open The eyes of my heart Lord! Put me in the path to help someone else.

Let us walk in The Spirit! We know when the Body is actively Living In The Spirit, a Fruit is Produced! That is Healing in itself!
Let us be reminded that even at the Brink of death we can also minister to others.
    Thank You for this reminder!

    Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
